Ballincollig to host Feile Gharrai

'Feile Gharrai' - Celebrations of the Fields', is to be held in Colaiste Choilm.
Ballincolllig.
It is in its third year this year and will be held on Sunday April 27 from 11am
to 4.30pm and promises to be a busy, and hopefully happy!. day for people
with an interest in a variety of aspects of gardening, food and crafts.
The Highlight of the day for many will be a presentation by Dr. Peter
Wyse- Jackson, Director of the National Botanic Gardens, on ’Great
Gardens of the
World - Preserving our World plant Heritage.
This will be held at 3pm.
Ted Cooke, Environmentalist,
will be giving a guided walk 'Celebrating Trees'
at 12 noon.
There will also be a series of masterclasses.
Firstly Nicola Darrell. Herbalist.
'The Evergreen Health Clinic' on herbs
and medicinal plants will talk at
11pm
followed by Jean Perry, The Glebe
Gardens. Baltimore on vegetables at 2pm.
