Under 12 News

Sunday 11th May Premier Division

Castleview 2-3 Lakewood

We went to the new champions Castleview and came away with a deserved victory.  We had a couple of early chances and the goalkeeper made an excellent save from David Walsh. Then we went two down in the space of a few minutes, two crosses from the right were headed home. We raised our game and a quickly taken free kick from Daragh Lucey found David and his ball into the box was turned home by Stephen Wallace and that was the way it stood at the break.

We upped our game in the second half and played some lovely passing football and got our rewards when a ball into the box found the head of Cian Herlihy to score. The lads did not settle for the draw and man of the match David Walsh who worked tirelessly all day found the net to give us the victory.  Others to play well on the day were Mark Dorgan, Cian O’Shea and Ben Cooke.
