Ladies Football 13th May, 2008.        Notes by Gerry Allen

The U 14 A league continued with a tip to Baile Bhuirne on May 11th.
The grass was a little long to say the least, so footing and ground control was going to be an issue. Our girls started off strongly with a couple of scores, but the opposition wouldn't lie down, so we only led by 2 - 03 to 1 - 03 at the half. The second half again started with a couple of Ballincollig points, but a couple of goals from Naomh Aban, put them right back in it. A missed penalty by us, A square goal by them, a tight match and was going to be a tight finish, but our girls hung on. Good performances on the day by Meabh Mac Manamon, Meadbh Flynn, Aoibhe Hickey and Grace McDonnell
Final score Naobh Abhan 3 - 06 Ballincollig 4 - 07
Scorers; Grace McDonnell 4 - 03, Meadbh Flynn 0 - 02, Aoibhe Hickey &
Roisín O Mahony 0 - 01
